Accounts Executives

This is a role for ambitious professionals who have just started out with their career. Ideally candidates shall be either in possession of a professional qualification or currently studying towards an accountancy qualification. Candidates must be familiar with general accounting principles, be able to work comfortably with numbers and be attentive to detail.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Client bookkeeping and general accounting services.
• Liaising with clients and handling various requests in a timely manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts or accountancy files for audit.
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of clients’ VAT returns and recap declarations.


Qualifications, Experience and Key Skills
• Currently reading towards an accountancy qualification, with a minimum A-Level in Accounting;
• Prior experience would be considered an asset
• Capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and work to demanding deadlines;
• Fluency in the English language (both written and spoken);

• Sound computer literacy, mainly in Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Smart, highly motivated, well presented individual with an eye for details;
• Ability to work and perform under pressure.

Audit & Assurance Semi-Seniors

This is a role for ambitious professionals who have just started out with their career. Ideally candidates shall be either in possession of a professional qualification or currently studying towards an accountancy qualification. Candidates must be familiar with general accounting principles, be able to work comfortably with numbers and be attentive to detail.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Being part of the client audit engagement teams;
• Being involved in executing and completing financial audits under supervision;
• Direct reporting to Audit Senior;
• Other responsibilities as discussed during the interview process.

Audit & Assurance Seniors

This is a role for ambitious professionals with at least 2 years proven experience in a similar position. Ideally candidates shall be in possession of a professional qualification or in the final stages of their studies. The following are the responsibilities and duties for this role and also the required skills set.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Take a lead role in dealing with all aspects of planning, conducting and finalisation of statutory audits together with the Audit Partners;
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel and meet client and firm deadlines;
• Report and present findings to the business, making recommendations for solutions and improvements to policies/procedures;
• Assurance, preparation, and review of financial statements following GAPSME and IFRS;
• Other assurance and audit commitments can be passed to your responsibility.

Personal Skills
• Good working knowledge of GASPME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards;
• Ability to identify, report and handle sensitive issues;
• Capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and work to demanding deadlines;
• Smart, highly motivated, well presented individual with an eye for details;
• Excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to multitask;
• Fluency in the English language (both written and spoken);

Tax Seniors

This is a role for ambitious professionals with at least 2 years proven experience in a similar position. Ideally candidates shall be in possession of a professional qualification or in the final stages of their studies. The following are the responsibilities and duties for this role and also the required skills set.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting in the corporate Tax Compliance function by completing tax computations, income tax returns and other related tax work, including claim for refunds amongst others;
• Assisting clients and other internal teams in the areas of direct and indirect taxes;
• Assisting with the Tax Advice function as required;
• Advising and assisting clients on the corporate restructuring and tax-related implications, working together with the Corporate team;
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel and meet client and firm deadlines;
• Taking an active interest in legislative updates and monitoring changes to corporate tax rules, guidelines and regulations;
• Maintaining a good standard of technical knowledge of tax issues and develop a good commercial understanding of our clients industries;
• Other tax assignments and commitments can be passed to your responsibility.

Personal Skills
• In possession of an accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent);
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within an audit and accountancy firm;
• Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing either the MIT Course on Taxation or The Advanced Diploma in Taxation;
• Have adequate fluency in Maltese and English, both written and oral;
• Be able to prioritise work and manage competing priorities;
• Proactive and hands-on with good initiative;
• Be willing to learn and be open to new challenges;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good organisational skills and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
